About the Position:

The Accounting Operations Supervisor role oversees the General Processing team within the Accounting Unit by setting priorities, supervising staff, and providing guidance to ensure efficient operations. It manages daily deposits, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P) processes while overseeing additional responsibilities based on operational needs. The role monitors workflow, identifies opportunities for process improvements, collaborates with leadership to implement enhancements, and serves as a subject matter expert for resolving operational issues relating to their team. The position also maintains knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and accounting standards, including SAAM, GAAP, GASB standards, and Office of the State Controller (OSC) guidance, to ensure compliance and accurate financial operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

(Entry level knowledges, skills, and/or abilities may be acquired through, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO the following coursework/training and/or experience).

Education, training, and/or experience in Business/Public Administration, Accounting, Economics, or another related field demonstrating competency in coordinating business operations, reviewing and maintaining records, and acting in a leadership capacity.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Please note that this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions, and successful candidates will be required to complete an I-9 form upon hire. 

The successful candidate must pass a National Criminal Background check, which may include fingerprinting.
