Position PurposeResponsible for all revenue accounting, statistical reporting and internal audit/control functions within the hotel.Essential Job FunctionsFunction
Obtain all reports, checks, vouchers, folios, receipts, paid-outs, etc. from various department at Income Audit drop box Do a number tally to ensure that there are no missing outlet checks, receipts, paid-outs, and other vouchers Focus daily audit on Rooms transactions by verifying that the computerized daily report reflects completely all of the day's transactions. Review paid-outs and allowance vouchers for reasonableness, proper approval and supporting documentation. Verify supports for complimentary and house use rooms and for rooms charged at rates varying from the rack potential. Spot check the accuracy of "regular" and "contractual" room rates in the system Review all house use and entertainment checks for propriety and ensure that they are signed and authorized Audit charges to City Ledger and credit card companies before forwarding them to the Accounts Receivable section Assist in Accounts Payable by: review and upload invoice details from Material Control to SAP. Monitor pre-payments, advances to suppliers, and post-dated checks thereby maintaining proper records for tracking purposes Maintain and monitor for payment schedule

Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members Respond in a courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties

Other duties may be assigned as needed Attending training sessions set out by the Westin Resort to ensure continued personal development
Required Knowledge and Skills
Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly retrieve dates, names, times, and other data Ability to converse calmly with irate guests, superiors and subordinates in sometimes intense emotional situations Ability to answer phones quickly, clearly and professionally Ability to maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times Interpret and comply with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form Must be able to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions, to make decisions with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks in order to maintain service standards Must be able to convey positive image of self and hotel Must perform mathematical operations with units of measurement including, but not limited to dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds, and ounces Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Qualifications
High school or equivalent education required A minimum one year experience audit or cashiering experience
