Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of accounting tasks.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger entries, and supporting schedules for management review.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies, while continuously evaluating and improving internal controls and processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Manage cash flow and oversee bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment on financial goals and performance.
- Lead preparation and coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Support system improvements and enhancements to streamline accounting processes and reporting.
- Handle special projects as needed, including process improvements and financial analysis initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Three or more years work experience as an accounting supervisor or manager
- Strong management and organization skills
- Strong analytical skills, ability to identify risks and errors
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, applications and databases
- Experience in creating financial reports based on data analysis and company objectives
