Accounting Manager - Remote

A profitable, fast-growing business services company is hiring an Accounting Manager to help build out a scalable finance function following a recent leadership rebuild. This is a stabilize-and-scale role, not a turnaround: the team has already made real progress and is mid-rollout on a new systems stack. The mandate here is to document the current process properly, help land the new systems, and put scalable structure around both.

The company is well established and capitalized, carries very healthy margins, and is investing in growth rather than managing cash constraints.

This role is fully remote (they have a small office presence on the East Coast) with a requirement to be based in EST or CST.

The Role

Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the CFO, you'll take full ownership of the accounting close: accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and payroll, along with oversight of the broader close process and budget-vs-actuals variance analysis. You'll start with one direct report (with a path to grow the team as scope expands, potentially into payroll or AP), and there's a long-term path to take on revenue recognition ownership as the function matures.

You'll be joining at a genuinely interesting moment as they go live imminently on a ERP, a new AP/expense platform, and a close management tool, so there's real opportunity to shape how these systems get used.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with full ownership of month-end close end to end
• Experience implementing or building out process around financial systems, ideally NetSuite, with strong big-picture thinking on what the technology unlocks beyond just "getting it live"
• Comfort mentoring and developing junior team members
• Strong GAAP knowledge and comfort operating in a fast-paced, process-building environment
