What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support the financial health of our manufacturing business. This role will lead core accounting functions including general ledger management, month-end close, AP/AR oversight, account reconciliations, and financial reporting while partnering closely with operations and leadership teams. The Ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing accounting experience, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to improve processes in a fast-paced environment. This position will supervise two direct reports and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, operational visibility, and continuous process improvement across the function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and year-end close process
- Oversee GL accuracy and reconciliations
- Supervise AR/AP functions
- Support inventory and cost accounting activities
- Partner with operations regarding manufacturing variances and inventory controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Assist with audits and financial reporting
- Improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Support ERP system utilization and reporting accuracy
- Mentor and develop accounting staff
- Special projects/tasks assigned by the Controller or CFO
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership/ supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of:
- General ledger
- AP/AR
- Reconciliations
- Month-end close
- Inventory/Cost accounting
- Sales Tax
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This position is based in an office and manufacturing environment and requires regular collaboration with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and leadership. The role involves extended periods of sitting and standing at a desk, frequent in-person and phone communication, and the regular use of standard office equipment, including phones and computers.
Work Schedule & Flexibility:
This position is primarily onsite to support collaboration with accounting, operations, and leadership teams. A hybrid schedule may be considered based on business needs and performance.
