SUMMARY:
This role is designed for a high-performing accounting professional who will initially operate in a senior-level accounting capacity and progressively expand into managerial role within the accounting department. The position supports both financial reporting accuracy and strategic financial analysis, contributing to data-driven decision-making across the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Coordinate and maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions across multiple entities within the company.
- Oversee and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts across multiple entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries and full financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.) across multiple entities.
- Lead and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies across all entities.
- Operate with a high level of ownership and accountability, reviewing work, identifying issues proactively, and ensuring high-quality, decision-ready outputs.
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior staff, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines.
Analysis & Strategic Support (Growth into Managerial Accounting)
- Analyze costs, budgets, and operational data across multiple entities to identify trends, risks, and avriances
- Lead or heavily support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes across multiple entities.
- Deliver clear, concise, and actionable insights to leadership to support business decisions.
- Develop and refine financial models and performance metrics to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate financial impacts of business initiatives and operational changes across entities.
- Act as a business partner to accounting leadership with the expectation of growing into a Director-level role.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency across multiple entitites.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to drive alignment and execution.
- Promote best practices in financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls.
- Train, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, holding a high standard for accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
- Ensure all deliverables are organized, succinct, and suitable for executive-level review.
Scope & Growth Expectations
- Initial focus will include ownership of multi-entity accounting and financial reporting.
- Expand into financial analysis, budgeting, and support strategic planning initiatives across the organization.
- Take ownership of decision supported reporting and play a key role in analysis.
- Clear path to director-level leadership, including team development, project leadership, and strategic influence.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA eligible required.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAPP and multi-entity consolidated financial reporting.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (advanced Excel required) and ERP systems experience.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing work, training staff, and driving accountability within a team environment.
- Exceptional time management, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concicse, and executive-review ready work product.
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to operate efficiently in a multi-entity enviornment.
