- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Review and analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate key drivers to the North America CFO and leadership team.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Coordinate all external and internal audit activities, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit requests.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of insurance reporting, including exposure data, claims support, renewals, and other information requested by corporate risk management and insurance carriers.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by providing historical financial analysis and accounting guidance.
- Monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and controls.
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards as needed.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Support special projects, system implementations, and other strategic finance initiatives as assigned by the North America CFO.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience leading month-end close and coordinating external audits.
- Experience with insurance reporting, risk management support, or corporate compliance reporting preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with finance leadership and cross-functional business teams.
