Position Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of Genesis PrimeCare and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting. This role manages key accounting functions, including general ledger activities, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and support of accounts payable and payroll processes. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting Manager helps develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems that support organizational goals and regulatory compliance.

The Accounting Manager prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements, budgets, variance reports, encounter reports, and incentive compensation calculations to support strategic decision-making. This position also assists with financial audits, grant reporting, annual budgets, tax filings, cost reports, and other required financial and regulatory reporting. In addition, the Accounting Manager provides leadership and oversight to accounting department staff, ensuring efficient workflows, staff development, and adherence to organizational policies and accounting standards.

Through strong financial management, analytical expertise, and leadership, the Accounting Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization and supporting Genesis PrimeCare’s mission of delivering quality healthcare services to the communities it serves.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Accounting
• Two to five years related experience and/or training.
• Working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports.
• Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate subordinates.
• Proficient in the following Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to quickly become proficient in various Accounting, Payroll, and Medical EHR systems.

Preferred:

• MBA with major in Accounting
