As Accounting Manager, you'll lead the financial operations that support Frontiers’ global mission—ensuring excellence in financial stewardship, accurate reporting, and responsive service to field workers around the world. About the Role
As Accounting Manager, you will:
- Review journal entries, including recurring entries, and supervise their accurate entry and posting within the accounting system.
- Oversee the production and timely delivery of monthly financial reports.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, suspense accounts, other asset accounts, credit cards, allocation schedules, and clearing accounts.
- Ensure all reconciled transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
- Review payroll.
- Supervise, develop, and support members of the finance team to promote accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
- Partner with the CFO to coordinate annual audit preparation and support audit-related requests.
What We’re Looking For
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for missions
- 5-10 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting and be well versed in issues encountered by controllers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; CPA designation preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliations, internal controls, and audit preparation.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting practices preferred.
