Summary - Everest Search Partners is conducting a confidential search for an Accounting Manager (Controller Track) to join a growing multi-entity organization with operations across the U.S. and Canada. Reporting to the CFO, this hands-on role will lead the month-end close process, oversee financial reporting, support audits, improve accounting processes, and help build a scalable accounting function.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for multiple entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and identify process improvements.
- Coordinate accounting activities across multiple entities and outsourced resources.
- Support acquisitions and integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Partner with finance and operations leaders to support business decisions.
- Assist with tax, cash flow, banking, and other finance initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or audit preferred.
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and external audits.
- Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online or similar ERP experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation: $100,000-$115,000 base salary plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
