As an Accounting Manager, Capital Projects, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our projects capitalized in development, construction and operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate project cost capitalization during development and construction, project cutoff and depreciation after operation, compliance with industry standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support project success. Responsibilities
Project Accounting: Manage and oversee the Project Module in Oracle ERP as well as the financial aspects of projects capitalized in development, construction and operations stages, including project cost capitalization, cost segregations, project cost actual vs. budgeting and financial analysis.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Conduct month-end, quarter-close and year-end close processes, including CIP and fixed asset account reconciliations and assisting GL team for EPC financial statement preparation.
Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Cost Control: Coordinate well with EPC team, monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget.
Audit Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure proper compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks associated with construction and development projects.
Financial Analysis: Analyze project cost data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or seasoned/ experienced Senior Accountant ready to move up, preferably in construction or capital intense industry. Energy experience a plus.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software. Experience with integrated ERP solutions (Oracle Fusion) preferred..
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills and experience dealing with EPC and other business operation teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
