Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s administrative functions and operations utilizing generally accepted accounting principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing guidance and expertise to senior management on fiscal control and profitability
- Manages all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Ensures sound internal financial management control systems and procedures for accounting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assists the CFO in decision making to maximize resources and effectiveness
- Identify and manage the organization’s cash flow
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate collaboration. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 10+ years of experience in accounting with demonstrated increasing responsibility
- Experience working for a privately held entity preferred
- Successful financial leadership experience in a manufacturing company
- Demonstrated analytical ability with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership skills: coaching, team development, conflict resolution and goal setting
Work Environment
Work is typically performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment. Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required. Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor and fumes in the normal course of production.
