Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager oversees the organization’s accounting operations while driving high-quality financial analysis, accurate reporting, and strategic financial insight. This role is ideal for someone who is both technically strong and strategically minded — a leader who can manage day-to-day accounting functions while contributing meaningfully to financial planning and organizational direction.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Strategic Insight

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis
• Build financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning
• Evaluate operational performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
• Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
• Support scenario planning and risk assessment initiatives
• Partner with department leaders to assess financial performance and resource allocation

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and oversee accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain and enhance internal reporting processes, tools, and dashboards
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors
• Develop executive-level financial presentations and board-ready reports
• Ensure strong internal controls and uphold reporting integrity

Accounting Operations

• Oversee the general ledger, month-end close, and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
• Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure tax compliance and collaborate with external tax advisors
• Drive process improvements and support system enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proven financial analysis and modeling capabilities
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
