We are looking for a candidate that will demonstrate a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Such as AP/ AR, reconciliations and financial record keeping. Candidate should have strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter and open to working independently and in a team setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Candidate must have good problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and support & contribute to team goals. Previous Quickbook, CostPoint and ADP experience preferred but not required.  Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly and year-end close processes.Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.Review financial statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance.May perform accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions.Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.3-5 years Accounting experience (manufacturing or government contract experience preferred).Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP), and the analysis and reporting of financial data, preferably in job costing environment.ERP experience and Costpoint knowledge a plus.Ability to perform complex problem solving, analyze information and develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Strong written and verbal communication skills and interact with various job classifications.Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines.Benefits: Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, voluntary plans such as supplemental life insurance, critical illness, and hospital indemnity) Paid Time OffCompany paid holidaysRetirement savings plan (401(k) plan with company matching and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan Career development opportunities
