Accounting Clerk Lead   SUMMARY: Will perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standards. This position is support staff for the department Supervisor and Manager. Will require excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple duties within a given period while remaining organized and managing time effectively.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Accounts payable – process invoices, insure proper coding
  2. Weekly check runs and information uploads to bank accounts
  3. Reconcile credit card and vendor statements
  4. Reviews company generated accounting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company, state, federal, and local regulations
  5. May conduct daily gaming and/or non-gaming revenue audits
  6. Prepares and enters transactions into the General Ledger
  7. Maintains monthly reports as instructed
  8. Reviews all documentation to ensure accuracy
  9. Addresses and researches all related variances, discrepancies or questions
  10. Monitors and reports all items that do not fall within sound auditing and/or accounting guidelines to General Accounting Manager
  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Other duties as assigned, including by not limited to, filing, scanning and data entry.
  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  This is normally acquired through a high school diploma.  Must have legible handwriting.
  2. Must be able to work on own, without constant supervision. Ability to operate adding machine/calculator and computer terminal.
  3. Must have knowledge of, or the ability to learn, various computer programs, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, JD Edwards, Stratton Warren and various online software programs.
  4. Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
  5. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal to an office environment.
