Your core focus will be mastering the foundations of day-to-day accounting and month-end processes, while also gaining valuable exposure to how financial operations run across the wider finance team. This is the perfect launchpad for someone looking to understand how theory translates into corporate financial operations within a fast-paced, start-up business environment.
The challenge 🧩

- Month-End Closing: Actively support the team with month-end closing procedures, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the completeness of financial records by auditing department tags and supporting documentation, and assist in preparing financial reports for external parties.
Accounts & Transactional Support
- Invoice & Approval Workflow: Manage the routing of incoming invoices into the financial system and take ownership of following up with internal budget holders for approvals.
- Credit Notes: Support the credit note process, collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams to investigate discrepancies, ensure proper documentation, and align on accurate financial adjustments.
- Communication: oversee shared finance mailboxes to maintain smooth, professional vendor and internal communication.
Process Optimization & Innovation
- AI & Automation Integration: Assist in implementing AI-driven solutions and automation to streamline routine financial processes.
- Improvements: Support ongoing initiatives to improve finance workflows, identifying opportunities to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
What You’ll Learn
- Core Accounting Practices: Hands-on experience with financial accounting principles and the mechanics of a corporate month-end close.
- Next-Gen Finance & AI: Practical exposure to evaluating and implementing AI tools and automation solutions within modern financial workflows.
- System Expertise: High-level proficiency in Excel and experience navigating a top-tier ERP system (like NetSuite).
- Cross-Functional Finance Ops: Insights into how financial accounting integrates with broader business operations, internal controls, and corporate reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: How to collaborate, align, and communicate effectively across various departments like Sales, Customer Success, and Operations.
What makes you a great fit ✅
- The Profile: Currently studying Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field - with a clear career interest in financial accounting.
- The Mindset: Analytical, organized, and proactive. You possess a strong attention to detail, take pride in accuracy, and love solving puzzles when numbers don't immediately align.
- The Tech & Innovation Enthusiast: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and genuinely excited about how technology and AI can be used to optimize traditional finance workflows.
- The Collaborator: An effective, confident communicator who enjoys working across departments to gather information and drive processes forward.
- The Conditions: You are available for 4 or 5 days a week for 6 months (or at least 5) and you are officially registered as a member of an educational institution or a student for the complete duration of the internship.
