Accounting Internship Program
The Parker Accounting Internship Program is focused on the development of new talent by exposing interns to the dynamic and challenging field of corporate and manufacturing accounting. Interns gain a valuable understanding of real-world projects, tasks, challenges, and opportunities that exist within the industry. This paid internship is used as a springboard into the Accounting Leadership Development Program, by which practical experience gained during a summer internship creates an exceptionally prepared candidate. Students normally work from late May to mid-August and are provided with specific, meaningful, and measurable goals.
This position is based at one of Parker's locations in Northeast Ohio: Akron, Elyria, Mayfield Heights, Mentor, Ravenna, or Wickliffe.
Economics Internship
Parker economics interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in economic research and analysis while contributing to real-world projects. Their responsibilities will include assisting in conducting economic research and data analysis to support various projects and initiatives, gathering economic data from multiple sources, and preparing detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings and insights for internal stakeholders.
Structure
• Assignment at a Parker Operating Location or Corporate Headquarters.
• Summer Report Out Meeting.
• Final Review.
Qualifications
• Ability to work in-office 40 hours per week during Summer 2027.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States majoring in accounting, finance or economics.
• Ability to work effectively on a variety of assignments.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team.
