Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support the day-to-day operations of our accounting team. This role provides hands-on exposure to core accounting functions and is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in developing foundational accounting skills in a professional environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Support
- Assist with daily accounting tasks, including data entry and general recordkeeping
- Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Month-End & Reporting Support
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation and organization of supporting documentation
- Perform basic research and analysis as needed to support accounting initiatives
Document Management
- Organize, file, and maintain financial documents and accounting records
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and easily accessible
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
- Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as needed
Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred
- Coursework in financial accounting or managerial accounting
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment:
- Primarily an office environment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
