Job Title:	Accounting Intern

Reports to:	Controller	Schedule: January 2027 – May 2027

We are seeking a Spanish speaking Accounting Intern to join our team and assist with general accounting duties, reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts and preparation of various schedules. This internship will provide an opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting and finance and to work with a team of experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, an analytical mindset, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile bank accounts on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
Analyze and identify any discrepancies in the bank account balances
Prepare and post journal entries to correct any discrepancies found during the reconciliation process
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of account balances
Investigate and resolve any reconciling items or variances in a timely manner
Assist with month-end closing procedures
Review tax information for financial aid applications.
Prepare and create journal entries for weekly cash deposits
Receive tuition payments and assist in tuition collection
Provide support to the Accounting team as needed

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an accounting or finance program, with a minimum of 2 years of coursework complete
Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
Availability to work 15-20 hours per week

This is a part-time internship position from January to May 2027. The position offers a great opportunity for a candidate to gain hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting processes and procedures.
