- Sort, review, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments.
- Scan and electronically route invoices, checks, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with researching outstanding checks and reconciling findings against the Accounts Payable aging report.
- Review the vendor master file to identify duplicate vendor records.
- Support vendor master file maintenance to help ensure accurate and complete vendor information.
- Download Versant reports by course and distribute reports to the accounting team to support accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Download reports from Tripleseat, Toast, and other point-of-sale systems for use in revenue reconciliation.
- Retrieve bank statements and assist with coding cash activity to support bank reconciliations.
- Scan, organize, and maintain manual check documentation for record retention and audit support.
- Download and roll forward recurring accounting files, including Sysco, Fintech, and other vendor reports, to assist with the month-end close process.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting files.
- Assist with accounting data clean-up projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the Accounting and Finance teams with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles through coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism.
- Previous office or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Primarily office-based environment.
- Regular use of computers, scanners, printers, and other standard office equipment.
- Frequent sitting, typing, and viewing computer screens.
- Occasional lifting of files or office materials up to 20 pounds.
