Reports To: Accounts Payable Supervisor (Americas)

AOC is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, team-driven, and engaged Accounting Generalist to join the AOC Americas Accounting/Finance team. We are looking for a hands-on contributor who is eager to support the finance organization as well as plant and corporate management. This role is responsible for recording key transactional items that drive company financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, flexibility in managing priorities, and excellent communication skills. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a growing organization!
Responsibilities
- Process payables invoices and employee expense reports timely and accurately
- Calculate and accrue use tax on vendor invoices, when applicable
- Provide timely and professional customer service to vendors regarding their payment inquiries or other concerns
- Process customer billing/invoices for shipments from AOC plants
- Provide key information during month-end closing to support accurate accruals for cutoff purposes to ensure expenses are captured in the correct accounting period
- Perform expense analysis on request
- Participate in accounting/financial projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 4-6 years of relevant experience with accounts payable
- Previous AP experience in a Shared Services environment preferred
- Must be proficient in Oracle and MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Ability to work independently (self-starter) and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to communicate effectively across Finance and Plant Management teams
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be willing and able to work on-site in office 5 days/week
