Assist the Finance Department in all areas such as billing, preparing reports, expense coding, cost accounting and analysis, budgeting and internal reporting. Provide back-up and support to the finance team. Advances Delta’s mission and values.
- Promotes and demonstrates ethical and professional conduct at all times.
- Provides excellent customer service to Delta’s internal and external customers.
- Promotes continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures.
- Utilizes HCSIS & Promise programs as needed.
- Enters budgets into Accounting software (Currently Vena and Sage).
- Assists in preparation and submission of cost reports for funders including DDD, DCF, ODP, and OCYF.
- Assists in developing & maintaining budgets.
- Monthly coding of electronic transactions in the credit card system.
- Provides back-up and support to AR and finance departments.
- Provides routine internal reporting.
- Provides assistance on various projects.
- Performs such other duties that may be assigned for providing excellent customer service and for the most effective operation of the company.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to use excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to use telephone, a phone system, voice mail, copier, facsimile machine, computer.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
- Ability to use generally accepted principles of accounting.
- Ability to perform light physical, non-strenuous activities of an administrative nature.
An Associate’s Degree (or the equivalent) in Accounting, Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting with proficiency in all areas of Excel. Experience in Sage, Vena, HCSIS, Promise Billing, Evolv, and iCare preferred. Must be dependable and adaptable. Must have strong oral and written communications skills.
