About the Role
The JDS Group of Companies is looking to hire an Accounting Coordinator to assist the team with accounting and fleet administration responsibilities. This role supports day-to-day financial processes while also managing equipment and vehicle tracking to ensure accurate reporting and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while supporting both accounting functions and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain equipment numbers and tracking within Microsoft Dynamics.
Assist with accounts payable postings at month end.
Assist with purchase order preparation and related communications.
Assist with accounts receivable invoice preparation and posting at month end.
Prepare monthly intercompany equipment invoices.
Provide general office support including office supply orders and coordinating couriers and shipments.
Provide general accounting support as required.
Manage fleet administration responsibilities including:
Ensure vehicle fleet insurance is up to date and organized.
Update asset acquisitions and disposals in the asset tracking registry.
Track location and assignment of assets within the asset pool.
Manage and track company fuel cards.

Qualifications
Strong understanding of accounting practices.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an asset.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel including formulas, tables, and pivot tables.
Education
Completion of a high school diploma.
Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business.
