I. Job Summary
- Perform collection activity for assigned WMRA (WM Recycle America) Commercial Accounts.
- Works effectively with Billing, Cash Applications, Account Managers and Customers to resolve or update on Collection efforts/status.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Analyze and reconcile commercial accounts monthly and resolve any outstanding issues
- Manage and execute commercial accounts collection process as approved by management including making phone calls, emailing customers, and setting up Teams meetings via Outlook
- Escalate unresolved issues to Accounting Manager, Accounting Director, Account Manager or Billing as needed
- Reports monthly to Accounting Manager outstanding collection accounts and issues
- Maintain detailed customer information on delinquent accounts including contact information
- Meet or exceed objectives and collection goals
- Analyze and maintain unapplied cash with cash applications before sending Aging to customer
- Conduct customer research for unresolved accounts
- Prepare and send aging reports to commercial customers monthly
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Performs based on experience most job responsibilities with increasing effectiveness with some direction from Accounting Manager
- Possesses required knowledge and skill requirements, but continuously building more experience via training and team learning
- Continually learning some aspects of job or developing expertise to handle them more independently and effectively
- Advanced MS Excel experience with the ability to toggle within multiple spreadsheets, and utilize VLOOKUPS and pivot tables
