Accounting Consultant

A leading organization has an immediate need for an accounting consultant for a one year project. The Accounting Consultant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform monthly account reconciliations (cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.)
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting
• Assist with audit requests by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Two + years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
