Accounting Consultant

Job Description

A client of 6 Degrees Group is hiring for an Accounting Consultant in Alpharetta, GA.

This role blends core accounting execution with FP&A-style support, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys variety day to day. On the recurring side, the Accounting Consultant will own journal entries, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting tasks that keep month-end close running smoothly. On the project side, this person will support a Sage Intacct build-out, automation efforts, and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting. It's an ideal opportunity for someone comfortable running established processes while also staying curious about new systems and ambiguity.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support month-end close
• Support day-to-day accounting tasks, including expense report review and commissions calculation/tracking
• Assist with a Sage Intacct system build-out and related automation initiatives
• Create FP&A-style reports and support ad-hoc analysis requests

Qualifications:

• Experience with core accounting functions, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Comfortable managing recurring, cadence-driven processes independently
• Curiosity for learning new systems, with ease navigating ambiguity
• Exposure to or interest in FP&A-style analysis and reporting a plus
