The Accounting Clerk will ensure that all policies and processes are adhered to and the accurate and timely GL postings. They may review GL postings and schedules, ensure receibables or payables are handled in a timely manner and communicate with management about any irregularities or anomalies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Collects transactions from car wash or requests necessary information.
- Audits and reviews documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensures all policies and processes are adhered to.
- Processes transactions onto the general ledger.
- Ensures accurate and timely GL postings.
- Reviews GL postings and schedules.
- Ensures receivables or payables schedule aging is kept to a minimum and/or handled in a timely manner.
- Communicates to management any irregularities or anomalies noticed during the course of their day.
- Assists with special projects or tasks assigned by supervisor or controller.
- Assists with training of newer or less experienced staff members as requested to do so.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Treats all customers and coworkers with respect and dignity.
- Requires Driving a motor vehicle and is a Safety Sensitive position.
- All Other Duties As Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Two (2) years of bookkeeping or accounting experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Intermediate accounting software experience.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license for more than 3 years.
- Ability to work independently and with little direction.
- Ability to multi-task and transition between tasks quickly.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively on a team
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff while remaining professional and polite in varying situations.
- Ability to recognize the time-sensitive nature of projects and tasks and act accordingly.
In accordance with RCW 49.44.240 this position is identified as Safety Sensitive and is subject to pre-employment drug screening including cannabis.
