SUMMARY: Responsible for managing customer accounts, processing incoming payments, and supporting the financial health of the company through accurate recordkeeping and proactive communication. This position is essential to maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring timely cash flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and post incoming customer payments (checks, wires, ACH, credit cards)
- Generate and send customer invoices and account statements
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status, discrepancies, or billing questions
- Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service) to resolve invoicing issues
- Assist with month-end closing and reconciliations related to accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts receivable records
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with ERP systems and customer portals is a plus
