Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support our day-to-day financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely billing, and smooth coordination between accounting and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Generate and send customer invoices
- Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Assist with job costing and tracking service-related expenses
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Support payroll processing and reporting
- Assist with month-end close and financial reports
- Communicate with customers regarding billing questions as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (service industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Professional communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience with service-based businesses (HVAC, plumbing, construction, etc.)
- Familiarity with job costing and dispatch/service software (e.g., Razor Sync)
