We are recruiting for an Accounting Clerk to join a busy healthcare organization at their corporate office in Sacramento. This is a contract opportunity with a progressive company dedicated to connecting individuals with healthcare access and support resources. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Clerk will handle daily financial processes, including administrative tasks, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and medical payment processing. The qualified candidate will have at least one year of Accounts Payable experience, working knowledge of Bill.com and QuickBooks, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Pay: $22-$23/hour DOE
- Location: 100% onsite in Sacramento
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes all claims payment checks.
- Responsible for all Accounts Payable bill payment and reconciliation of vendor payments.
- Prepares all A/R invoices.
- Prepares and enters deposits.
- Assists in processing medical payments and related excel worksheets.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree in related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience required.
- Experience with Bill.com or other applicable AP Software (QuickBooks) is preferred.
- Strong skills in gathering, interpreting, and reporting information; problem solving; exercising initiative, judgment, and discretion.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and follow up skills.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to solve mid-level problems with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Hight attention to detail and ability to document information accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
