Duties

Performs a variety of simple, routine, repetitive accounting duties which may include, but is not limited to: reviewing, computing, and verifying cashiers reports, receiving, pricing, extending, and verifying receiving reports; establishing and maintaining logs of controlled forms, coupons, gift cards, gift certificates, and register readings; verifying bank deposits; posting transactions to individual accounts receivable, vouchers, budgets, and other miscellaneous accounting documents.
Performs Central Cashier duties to include, counting all cash and checks, to verify the amount recorded on the AF Form 1877, maintains change fund, takes custody of change orders to be processed by the bank and returns proper change to respective departments, making daily deposit runs with government vehicle.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in clerical and office work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position. Typing and 10-key skills as well as experience with cash handling are highly desired. Experience demonstrating arithmetic aptitude and ability; a basic knowledge of or ability to apply and/or follow basic accounting procedures and techniques; ability to grasp relationships between numbers, accounts, and items in accounts.
Condition of Employment: Incumbent must satisfactorily complete a Tier Level 1 background investigation.

Education
