Pay: $14.00/hour
Location: Bossier City, LA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the retail accounts receivable functions of a busy accounting department. This position is responsible for processing customer payments, applying payments to accounts, reconciling daily cash activity, and assisting with other accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and enjoys working with numbers in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments received by cash, check, credit card, and other payment methods.
• Apply payments accurately to customer accounts receivable balances.
• Prepare and reconcile daily cash receipts and sales activity.
• Verify payment information and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts receivable reporting and account reconciliations.
• File, scan, and organize accounting documents.
• Communicate with internal departments regarding payment questions and account issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or accounting clerk experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic are required.
