Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will perform routine administrative and accounting duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates purchase orders from approved purchase requisitions.
- Provides back-up to Project Manager for Accounts Receivable invoice submissions.
- Reviews the semi-annual physical inventory count spreadsheet for formula and calculation accuracy.
- Supports the Project Manager as on all accounting functions, ordering, and inventory.
- Maintains hazmat labels for all products (cleaning materials, oils, fuel, refrigerants, etc.).
- Works with IMS software to input data, generate work tickets, close out service orders, and run reports.
- Conveys urgent and emergency customer requests to appropriate personnel.
- Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; purging files to eliminate data duplication.
- Maintains filing system for completed service orders and other documentation as directed.
- Records all information as completed into the IMS system ensuring all records are up-to-date, complete, and correct.
- Ensures that all performance data for service calls, work requests, and preventive maintenance services on facilities is captured.
- Scans and uploads into Government Share Folder various documents and reports.
- Keeps the Government Share Folder updated regarding PM and SO data along with other areas as assigned.
- Generates periodic electronic and/or hard copy reports for analysis and status of work.
- Maintain effective communication with the corporate, management, employees, and customers.
- Exercises discretion and trustworthiness.
- Develops and maintains organized filing systems.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Detail-oriented, multi-tasker with strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five years of progressive accounting and/or administrative experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business
