Monterey Bay Fish Grotto is looking for an experienced part-time Accounting clerk / Administrator to work closely with the Accounting Manager and team to maintain inventory/accounting records while assisting with HR and Administrative tasks.

What you would be doing:

•         About 70% of your time will be spent on accounting tasks and 30% on administrative tasks.

•         Maintain food and beverage inventory records. Assist chef team in entering recipes.

•         Record activity on and reconcile credit card accounts.

•         Enter Vendor Invoices into Accounting system. Reconcile Vendor accounts as needed.

•         Process vendor payments via credit card, ACH or check.

•         Reconcile and post daily sales report from the point of sale system.

•         Assistance with HR tasks such as job posting, documentation management, benefits administration and other projects as needed.

•         Assist with administrative tasks such as purchasing office supplies, special projects, etc.

•         Prepare various month end reports in accounting system and Excel.

We look for candidates with the following:

•         Minimum of:

           2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience

•                2+ years of administrative experience

•         Proficient in Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook

•         Strong math/accounting skills.

•         Able to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

•         A good communicator. Comfortable with email, video calls, and online chats.

•         $20-25 per hour based on experience.

•         Office hours of operation are M-F 9:00a-5:00p
