Position Summary:

The Accounting C performs a variety of general accounting support tasks. Checks and verifies records, prepares invoices and vouchers, posts ledger and general journal entries and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records. May estimate, control or monitor portions of program budgets or assist in generating some cost proposals. May reconcile financial statements/reports, investigate questionable data, and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies. Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting.

Overall Summary

Fully proficient support individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.

Works under limited supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.

Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.

Qualification Requirements:

• Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. 
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

• The ability to obtain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $24.52-45.43/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
