Overview
The Accounting Associate’s primary duty is to review daily transactions and communicates discrepancies to management while managing other duties.
This is an in-office position in Lake Jackson.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Research daily exceptions for anomalies and discrepancies
- Communicate problems and discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner
- Correct entry errors as needed and provide feedback to site level bookkeepers
- Administer the company purchase card program
- Administer company vehicle registrations and the EZ tag program
- File all applicable documents in repository
- Review scanned documents for completeness and accurate filing
- Maintain relationships with internal customers
- Apply working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of auditing to exception auditing
- Must have the ability to prioritize based on urgency
- Reception duties such as answering and directing calls, greeting guests in a professional manner
- Research and resolve customer questions
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery of mail services which includes but is not limited to US mail and third party carriers
- Process, receive, sort and forward mail
- Order, receive, stock, and distribute office supplies
- It is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site. No remote work is available
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
- Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- High school graduate, college degree preferred
- 2 years accounting experience
- 2 years audit experience preferred
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft products
