Accounting Assistant

I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to the Accounting Manager with      reporting and special projects
• Assist with day-to-day accounting and administrative      functions 
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation 
• Prepare and enter journal entries as needed 
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts 
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes 
• Support audits and financial reporting activities 
• Maintain organized accounting files and records 
• Accounts Payable Support
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely 
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving       documents 
  • Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments       
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies 
  • Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation 
  • Serve as backup for all AP responsibilities when       needed 
• Accounts Receivable 
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices 
  • Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records 
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding       balances 
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies 
  • Serve as backup for AR duties during absences or peak       periods 

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience preferred 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
• Experience with accounting software preferred 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism 
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
