Accounting Assistant

CommuniCare Health Services is currently recruiting for an Accounting Assistant to support our corporate accounting team.

Estimated Pay Rate: $19-24/hr

Purpose/Belief Statement

Accounting support is an important function within the organization. The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting function and assists in creating accurate books and records for facilities within their assigned region/division.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring timely processing of various electronic imports and manual journal entries to the general ledger.
• Performs monthly bank account reconciliations and various balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assists the accountants with copying and distribution of monthly financial statements.
• Maintains various bank statement and journal entry files.
• Responsible for gathering information and documentation for various audits.
• Other accounting projects and functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma;
• Associates degree in accounting preferred.
• Two  years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Superior organizational skills
• Strong task management and the ability to prioritize
• Excellent typing/keying skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers
• High degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as, confidentiality
• Strong skills using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Workday a plus
