The Role
The role of the Accounting & Reconciliations Finance Graduate will ensure that transactions are generated and sent to the enterprise general ledger at pre-agreed intervals (real-time, end of day etc.). This position will help in resolving queries from employers (e.g. requests on contributions, scheme reconciliation, employer onboarding, employer amendments, contribution queries etc)
Key responsibilities:
The below outlines the main areas of responsibility:
- Assist in Managing the end-to-end finance and accounting processes
- Finance operations will manage contribution reconciliations, refunds, benefit payouts, tax processing, fund accounting and suspense management. Role based access and authorisation limits will be an embedded control for managing payouts.
- Review of various Financial Controls Reports and assist in analysis of discrepancies
- Send request for contributions after reconciliation of employer and participant contributions and receive of additional contributions against the participant records for investment through Investment Managers
- Processing of financial accounting transactions into the general ledger, including collecting, recording, verifying and reconciling financial data
- Manage the bank reconciliation, control and suspense accounts to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Accounting knowledge within Finance & Accounts
- Knowledge of Irish Payroll Processes
- Administration experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility/adapting to change
- Demonstrate initiative and drive for results
- Good organizational skills and time management
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Excellent computer skills
- Prior experience in Pension industry would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial applications
