Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, 401k, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Processes weekly payroll for office and field employees.
- Provides assistance to Human Resources as needed.
- Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.
- Files payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end as well as processing W2's.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Provides assistance to the Accounting Department.
- Downloads and uploads data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
- Processes company credit card transactions.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
