About the Role:
The Accounting and Operations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Finance Department while coordinating organizational processes that support efficient business operations. This position assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial recordkeeping, vendor management, office operations, and cross-departmental administrative projects to ensure the effective functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain financial records, deposits, and data in accounting and donor management systems.
- Support month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Process donations and maintain donor records and acknowledgments.
- Provide administrative support, including records management, filing, and special projects.
- Coordinate vendor relationships and assist with office and facility operations.
- Provide front desk/reception support and respond to inquiries.
- Assist with Board materials, donor communications, and organizational correspondence.
- Collaborate across departments to support organizational goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related administrative experience.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Reliable transportation for occasional local business needs.
- Experience in a nonprofit environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/database systems.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Experience with audits, month-end close, financial reporting, donor processing, fundraising administration, or membership-based organizations.
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000

Work Environment & Travel
This position may require occasional evening and weekend work, local and statewide travel, and prolonged periods of computer-based work.
