We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our company as an Accounting and Operations Coordinator.This position combines basic accounting responsibilities with customer order processing, logistics, and shipping coordination. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting functions while supporting the company's sales and order fulfillment operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
- Prepare and enter general ledger journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Help maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Prepare accounting reports and supporting schedules as needed.
- Enter customer sales orders into the company's computer system.
- Review orders for accuracy, pricing, and completeness.
- Coordinate with sales personnel regarding customer orders.
- Monitor open orders and assist in resolving order-related issues.
- Maintain accurate customer order records.
- Coordinate customer shipments with outside warehouses and transportation providers.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation.
- Monitor shipment status and follow up on delivery issues.
- Communicate with warehouses regarding order fulfillment and inventory availability.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and customer inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Accounting coursework or an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous accounting, customer service, or order processing experience is helpful but not required.
Training and Advancement:The company will provide training in its accounting and order processing systems.This position offers an opportunity to develop practical accounting experience while learning the operational functions of a wholesale distribution business.We are looking for an individual interested in growing with the company and assuming additional responsibilities over time.
This position requires work in the office. There is no required remote work involved.
