Accounting & Finance Intern

 This paid part-time internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in finance and accounting while helping participants develop professional and analytical skills in a collaborative business environment. 

1. Orientation

• Introduction to company operations, policies, and expectations 
• Overview of finance and accounting functions 
• Workplace conduct and confidentiality training 

2. Departmental Rotations (Optional)

• Exposure to multiple functions such as: 
  • General Accounting 
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) 
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable 
  • Inventory/Cost Accounting 

3. Project-Based Work

• Interns will be assigned meaningful tasks or projects such as: 
  • Financial data analysis 
  • Reporting support 
  • Process documentation 
  • Reconciliation assistance 
  • Inventory count and reconciliation 
  • Fixed asset management 

4. Mentorship

• Each intern will be paired with a mentor from the Finance or Accounting team 
• Regular check-ins for guidance, feedback, and career discussions 

5. Professional Development

• Workshops or sessions may include: 
  • Resume building 
  • Interview preparation 
  • Career pathways in finance/accounting

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field 
• Strong interest in finance, accounting, and business operations 
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, financial statements) preferred but not required 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with formulas, pivot tables, and data organization is a plus 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data 
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to manage time effectively while working part-time and meeting deadlines 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment 
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality with financial and company data 
• Availability for a part-time schedule (flexible hours depending on academic schedule, if applicable)
