Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing accounting support to the site (Plant/Mine) that will be used for decision making, planning, cost management and reporting.Temporary accounting professional to assist in month end close, preparation of financial statements and variance analysis, in addition to projecting full year spend and develop of 5-year long range plan budgets.
Job Description
**THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT AND EXPECTED TO LAST SIX (6) MONTHS.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide budget/actual reporting to Production organizations.
•Support the process of establishing Project numbers and Work Authorizations
•Support the process of closing projects/work authorizations
•Provide information to assist in preparing budget variance explanations
•Provide other accounting functions as requested including processing of purchasing card, invoice payment, etc
•Support the payroll and time reporting process
•Prepares reports for internal and external users that accurately reflect the position or results from operations each month
•Assists in special projects and committee assignments.

Education: High School Degree required, College degree preferred
Experience: Preferred 2 to 4 years experience in accounting tasks
Skills: Basic Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word and internet based accounting software
•2-4 years Related working experience
•Knowledge of capital budgeting/spending
•Vistra Accounting systems –FIM, FAM, PMMS, EZ Pay
•Production(Utility) experience
•Exhibits ability to perform the key competencies of Teamwork, Problem Solving, Innovation, and Resource Management
•Strong communication skills to interact with all areas of business
•PC and database skills for cost tracking/reporting
•Strong analysis skills
•Occasional long, irregular hours.
•Occasional travel between company facilities
**THIS POSITION WILL BE WORKING AT BOTH OAK GROVE POWER PLANT IN FRANKLIN, TX AND KOSSE MINE LOCATIONS. SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO BE ON SITE 5 DAYS/WEEK AND EITHER LOCATION.
