What we're looking for: An accounting professional with 5+ years' experience in high-level accounting with extreme attention to detail, ability to juggle fast-paced multi-tasking, and expert Excel skills all while providing polished customer service to our members.
Primary Responsibilities Include: accounts receivable, membership billing, member relations & inquiries, accounting administration, financial reporting, month end close tasks, and other projects as assigned by the CFO.
- Membership Billing: Process monthly, quarterly, and annual membership dues, initiation fees, and capital assessments as needed.
- Sales Reconciliations: Daily posting of Club-wide sales, correcting variances, and reporting.
- Departmental Reconciliation: Consolidate charges from multiple Club departments, including the Golf Pro Shop, Golf Performance Center, Racquets, Fitness, Youth, Aquatics, and Food & Beverage (F&B).
- Food & Beverage Minimums: Track member spending against monthly F&B minimums and apply adjustments as needed.
- Collections & Aging: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, correspondence with members, send past-due notices, and enforce board-approved collection policies.
- Cash & Banking: Prepare, record, deposit, and reconcile all payments received.
- Member Inquiries: Deliver high-level, hospitality-driven customer service by answering questions regarding member statements, guest fees, and account balances.
- Month-end Close: Prepare monthly logs, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliation, and AR aging reports in accounting software (Jonas Encore).
- Petty Cash: Maintain petty cash account (balance, distribution, reconciliation, event cash boxes, etc.)
- Other: Assist the CFO with budgets, reporting, and other projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Communication & Confidentiality: Strong ability to communicate with members, guests, and internal staff while maintaining extreme confidentiality
- Organization: Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Jonas Encore software is a plus

Salary & Benefits: Salary based on qualifications and experience, performance bonus, and competitive benefits for eligible employees including employee meals, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) retirement plan after term of service requirements have been fulfilled. This is a salaried full-time position.
