Accountant

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Play a key role in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries
and managing various asset and liability reconciliations
Review balance sheet and income statement variances
Process check requests, expense reports and personal reimbursements
Reconcile credit card transactions and ensure compliance with company
policy
Ability to complete complex bank reconciliations
Oversee multiple entities and reconcile intercompany transactions
Assist with annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Assist management with implementing and monitoring compliance with
internal controls
Assist with external and internal audit requests, including quarterly reviews
and the year-end audit
Support special projects and implementations aimed at improving operational
efficiencies

Education & Experience:
· Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
3+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in health care industry is strongly preferred
Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Experience with multi companies record keeping

Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Advanced Excel and expertise in the functionality of the accounting GL
system and modules
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; ability to multi-task
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment
