Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes. This role includes responsibility for AR/AP, general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, and budget analysis. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
This position is onsite Monday–Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain cash accuracy across accounts
- Maintain and update the general ledger in accordance with accounting principles
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
- Complete month-end and year-end close processes in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate/resolve discrepancies
- Handle and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting, including variance analysis
- Support financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferred) for daily accounting activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Multi-entity or intercompany experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred
