Accountant
Setting/Hours: Hybrid - 3 Days Remote | 8-5
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Wilmington, Ohio that’s expanding its Accounting team.
The accountant is primarily responsible for preparing various asset, liability, revenue, and expense reconciliations, posting other activities to the general ledger and account analysis. The accountant is also responsible for completing other tasks assigned to support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
Provide general accounting support across the spectrum of accounting functions as directed with the aim of ensuring accounting activities and associated financial information is timely, accurate, and readily available to support key business decisions.
Job Duties:

Reconciles multiple cash accounts and ensures accuracy of financial transactions and balances.

Prepares journal entries and monitors general ledger activity to maintain accurate financial records.

Reconciles and analyzes asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts to support financial integrity and reporting accuracy.

Assists with month-end close activities, reporting processes, and financial analysis.

Prepares documentation and reports required for annual audits and external review processes.

Supports special projects and additional initiatives as assigned by management.

Maintains and updates work instructions, accounting procedures, and process documentation.

Identifies and supports continuous improvement opportunities within accounting and financial operations.

Participates in cross-training efforts to support team flexibility and operational continuity.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support department and organizational goals.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience with direct exposure to general ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to compile, analyze, and present financial data effectively.

Experience with Oracle accounting software preferred.
