Accountant

About the Role:

Currently, Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as an Accountant reporting to the Corporate Controller.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Entering and validating data in accounting systems (ERP, Excel)
• Posting cash receipts from clients and managing Accounts Receivable
• Reviewing and posting Accounts Payable entries
• Drafting journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
• Preparing tax and burden remittances for review
• Assisting with procurement training for site coordinators and superintendents
• Completing internal audits and assisting in month-end reporting
• Ensuring accuracy in financial recording and compliance
• Maintaining organized records for audits and regulatory reviews
• Additional duties as required to support accounting and organizational goals

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary Business Administration and/or Accounting diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years experience in accounting role and familiarity with Canadian accounting standards required
• Bilingualism in French and English required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and data entry
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to plan, organize and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Uphold company values and maintain confidentiality
