Job Description:
Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Hiring Rate: $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with qualifications
Job Duties:
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, expense reimbursements and general ledger transactions in the state’s EnterpriseOne (E1) financial and payroll system.
- Enter agency contracts and purchase orders into E1 and process payments on agency contracts.
- Review and process vendor invoices and assessments for the natural gas department, including tracking assessments against statutory limitations.
- Assist in processing natural gas quarterly assessments and payments made by jurisdictional utilities.
- Work with agency departments to process aid payments for grant programs in E1.
- Manage requests for E1 address book records for both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Interface with E1 including items related to vendor payments, employee expense vouchers, and general ledger reports.
- Work with Deputy Director and other Commission staff regarding agency audits.
- Assist with annual fixed asset inventory and surplus of fixed assets.
- Assist with monthly payroll duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in accounting, business or related field and two years’ experience with the State’s EnterpriseOne financial and payroll system including accounts payable, accounts receivable and procurement. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Must be certified to perform procurement activities in E1.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting or finance; or equivalent of such education experience. Five years’ experience with EnterpriseOne financial, payroll and purchasing modules and the state’s Workday human resources system.

Knowledge of:
Knowledge of: professional accounting principles, theories and practices; generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices and standards; research practices and techniques; record keeping methods; word processing and spreadsheet computer software programs; computerized accounting software; federal and State laws and regulations applicable to accounting/finance operations.
Skills in:
Strong analytical and communications skills, both verbal and written, skills in listening to and understanding information received; using mathematical methods or formulas to compare, analyze and present data; compiling data from multiple sources into a single, comprehensive document or report. Extreme attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to:
Ability to: apply the principles of accounting, statistics, and fiscal management; learn and apply the principles and concepts of specific agency programs, policies and operating details of an accounting system; design reports and financial statements; compute and compile financial data; analyze data and draw conclusions; organize and present facts and opinions so others will understand; communicate to exchange and elicit information.
